Streda, 29. október 2014. "Happy day". Zásielka dorazila. Urobili drobnú chybičku a namiesto karnitínu mi poslali glutamín, ale nevadí, momentálne je to v procese riešenia problému.
Kúpili sme si aj nejaké to ochutené pivko na ochutnanie, keďže len dva dni predtým (v pondelok) mi tiež prišiel nový mobil z Číny - mali sme čo oslavovať. :)
No, veľmi rýchlo sme zistili, že proteíny chutia ako sr*čka (hlavne pomarančová príchuť) a že byť fit nie je med lízať... xD ale i tak vytrváme na našej ceste aj naďalej.

Wednesday, 29 October 2014. Happy day. The delivery arrived. They made a little mistake and sent me glutamine instead of carnitine, but it doesn't matter, currently it's in the process of solving the problem.
We also bought some flavoured beer to try because only two days before (on Monday) my new phone arrived from China as well - we had so much to celebrate. :)
Well, very soon we found out that the proteins taste like sh*t (especially with the orange flavour) and it's not that easy to be fit... xD but we'll keep on our journey either way.

Sobota, 1. november 2014. Môj večerný workout so skvelou motivačnou hudbou (môžete ju nájsť tu: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrH3vNfQcmU ) a proteínovým šejkom s cookie príchuťou. Zistila som, že i keď pomarančová príchuť chutí strašne, čokoláda a cookie sú vcelku dobré a je možné vypiť ich bez zvracania, len s troškou snahy. Teším sa ako vyskúšam kokos a jahodu.
Takto ja vítam november! Vitaj, môj mesiac. :*

Saturday, 1 November 2014. My evening workout with some great motivation music (you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrH3vNfQcmU ) and cookie-flavoured protein shake. I discovered that although the orange flavour tastes terribly, chocolate and cookie are quite good and it's possible to drink it without vomiting, taking just a little effort. I'm looking forward to trying the coconut and strawberry.

The beginning!

Dnes sme konečne spoločne s Paulom vykonali prvý krok. Keď vravím "dnes", myslím tým dnes v noci niečo po polnoci (keďže sme vďaka škole a nočnému študovaniu tzv. nočné tvory - cez deň ako kvalitne vyčepaní a večer čulí), a "prvým krokom" myslím rozhodnutie, nie začiatok diéty. :D
Doteraz to bolo vždy tak, že som cvičila a diétovala (i keď nie vždy poctivo, lebo ja rada papkám), hnevala ho odmietaním pizze a citovými výlevmi, keď som pribrala, a on bol (asi aj stále je, len ja som ho dokopala k solidarite) so sebou spokojný. Veď ok, ani jeden nie sme tuční, ale ja ako žena chcem byť dokonalá, aj keď sa mu páčim.
Asi týždeň-dva dozadu začal aj Paul cvičiť. Niečo ho nakoplo, už neviem čo ale som rada. :)
Možno vyznievam ako zlá priateľka keď chcem, aby sa môj priateľ menil, ale nie je to tak. Ja len nechcem byť vo svojom životnom štýle sama. Už dlho túžim po tom, aby sme v to boli spolu.
A teraz to konečne prišlo!
Dnes v už spomínanom čase sme uzavreli dohodu. Žiadne nezdravé jedlo, iba 100% diéta - s výnimkou jedného "cheat meal" dňa v týždni, kedy si môžeme niečo dopriať - ako prevencia proti náhlemu seriem-na-to-zožeriem-všetko-čo-vidím skratu.
A aby nás to len tak neprešlo, objednali sme si z internetu proteíny, shakery a L-karnitín, dokopy za vyše 44 eur aj s dopravou (veď už keď sme si v lete čosi zarobili, tak to správne investujme...), takže ak by sme sa náhodou chceli vykaľať na diétu alebo cvičenie, tak si pomyslíme, že by to boli vyhodené peniaze a že to je trochu drahé "cheat meal"...
Dúfam že ľudí inšpirujeme, aby sa pridal k nám na našej ceste za vysneným telom.

Today, me and Paul together, we finally took the first step. When I say 'today' I mean just a few minutes after midnight (because thanks to school and night studying we are so-called nocturnal beings - pretty exhausted during the day and fresh in the evening), and by 'the first step' I mean the decision, not starting of the diet. :D
Until now it was always like this: I was on diet and working out (well, not always really honestly, because I love eating), driving him crazy by refusing pizza and crying when I put on some weight, and he was (and probably still is - it is just me who forced him to solidarity) satisfied with himself. Well, OK, none of us is fat, but I, as a woman, want to be perfect, although he likes me the way I am now.
About one or two week ago, Paul started taking some exercise. Something made him to do so - I don't know what, but I am glad. :)
I may sound like a bad girlfriend for wanting my boyfriend to change, but it's not like that. I just don't want to lead my kind of lifestyle alone. I've been wishing for it for being in this together for so long...
And now, it finally happened!
Today, the aforesaid time, we made a deal. No junk food, only 100% diet - except for one 'cheat meal' day which is to prevent sudden dammit-I'm-gonna-eat-everything-I-see cut-off.
And additionally, to avoid complete quitting of the diet or workout, we ordered some proteins, shakers, and L-carnitine from the Internet, costing altogether over 44 euros including the postage (as we earned some money during the summer, we should spent them reasonably), so if we wanted to quit, we should bear in mind that it would be wasted money and a really expensive 'cheat meal'...
I think we inspire people to join our weightloss journey.

The way how to keep fit (EN)
There
are many already known ways to keep fit. Almost every person knows that if they
want to protect their health and good shape, they have to eat healthy food,
have enough sleep, drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol, drugs and junk
food. They also should do some exercise at least twice a week, go to the nature
(for example in a forest) and avoid stress.
I am
not going to write about these, already generally known things, because you
could fall asleep while reading it and it is not the purpose of this essay. I
am going to describe an alternative way which should be understood and used by
every person in the world. The medical effects of trees.
Trees
have been worshipped in many cultures and religions for ages. In many
traditions, there is a mystic Tree of life mentioned which crosses all the
worlds: its roots, phylum and top represent the underworld, the world and the
heaven. A tree is a natural symbol of the connection between the human world
and the heaven.
One
of the famous taoistic masters, Mantak Chia from Thailand, teaches students a
meditation with trees as a form of releasing the negative energy. He teaches
how to harmonize our mind and body with the energetic domain of a tree. He
explains that trees in general are natural processors able to turn the sick or
negative energy of the body and mind into positive, vital power.
The
taoistic theory says: because trees stand still, they can absorb the Earth’s
energy and the universal power from the skies. All the plants are able to
absorb the light frequencies from the Sun and transform them into physical
nutrition. The same they can do with the energetic nutrition.
In
the publication Blinded by Science,
Matthew Silverstone mentions many scientific studies confirming that the
vibration attributes of trees and plants are responsible for their positive
curative impact on our health. He also claims that trees help with fighting
ADHD, depression, headache and many mental diseases. They improve the speed of
reactions and ability to concentrate as well.
Russian
researches have proved that boughs of the Siberian fir places near a patient
decrease a number of microbes in their body to a half. Pine and juniper boughs
quicken the recovery of patients with lung diseases.
When
you are in contact with a tree, it receives your vibrations either you know
about it or not. Your body and your soul start to vibrate with the energy of
the tree and it balances you and releases your tension.
So
the conclusion I can draw is that we all should keep in touch with the nature,
because it provides us with all the cures we need. We just have to find them
and learn how to use them without damaging our beautiful planet. I am sure that
if we do it, we will feel much better.

Are we becoming a fastfood nation? (EN)
In today’s
world everywhere you look, you can see fat people and doctors, TV programmes
and specialists discussing or trying to solve this problem. Do you ever ask
yourself how we ended up like this? It is partly understandable when adults
above 40 years are obese, but how is it possible that so many children are
obese as well?
Well,
during a few last decades the people’s awareness of the healthy lifestyle has
had rapidly decreasing tendency which can be also caused by political and socio-economic
changes in western societies. People have been facing globalization and the
lifestyle of an average person has changed a lot.
What are
the consequences of globalization? The richest companies from the world’s most
powerful countries began to export their products into the countries that
hadn’t been under their influence before (such as ex-communist countries like
Slovakia) and started expanding their business. Very good examples are the US
companies such as Coca-Cola or McDonald’s, followed by many similar companies.
Fastfoods
became very popular in these countries thanks to their low prices and
acceptable taste of their food. Unfortunately, many people don’t know or even
care what this ‘food’ really consists of. And this is the main cause of obesity
in the world.
This
fastfood is actually a mixture of sugars, fats, emulsifiers, gluten, waste meat
products and much other disgusting rubbish that you wouldn’t eat if it didn’t
have the smell, taste and look of a fastfood meal. These things obstruct your
intestine so it’s unable to absorb nutrients. They rapidly increase sugar level
in your blood for a short moment, then it decreases back to low level and you
feel hungry again. This is the consequence of their high glycemic index (GI).
They also contain a huge amount of useless lipids and saccharides which our
body cannot burn so it stores it in form of fat. These mentioned substances
also cause violation of the acid-base balance in our body and in may have as a
consequence many different diseases – including obesity.
People
should take more care of their health. The healthy food is often more expensive
that the junk food, but it’s cheaper and more comfortable than buying medicine
to cure illnesses caused by inappropriate lifestyle. Live healthy, change your
lifestyle and start with your diet – if you haven’t done it yet.
